I’m putting this here because I have been saying for 3 years now -here and elsewhere- that the endgame to all of this is this:
Trump and as many cronies, henchmen, and hangers-on that can fight their way aboard whatever get-away plane he has tucked away will fly to Moscow, disembark to limos filled with youth of very questionable majority, flip us off, and drive to their respective dachas. They have already transferred much of the treasury offshore. As always, we get to pick up the pieces. I actually hope this happens because his cult will evaporate. Yeah, I want him punished and humiliated(!) but not at the cost of further blood and suffering.
When this happens, I get to say “I predicted it.” But if it doesn’t, it means something worse has happened. I will vote. But I’m not confident that even if Biden wins and Trump doesn’t get away we come out of this without bloodshed. If Trump “wins” it’s because the disease in the electorate is terminal and we become even more of a failed state.
Feeling old and tired and maybe a little grouchy tonight.
